An ashen-faced player manager Mark Rivlin cut a forlorn figure as he bravely faced up to the Sky Sports cameras following Hackney 3's mauling by the students at Imperial College in London League Div 4. Said Rivlin: "We weren't at the races tonight. After Lee Bullock got mated the house collapsed like a deck of cards. It's just not good enough.
"It was great to have Cono [Ariti] back after his enforced lay-off. But to lose 6-0 on the night with two adjournments is not going to get us back to where Hackney 3 belong. It may be that I'll have to consider my own future, I'm not getting any younger and my own slump in form has had the guys from the press camped outside Tiger Tiger.
"I've signed up for Tony Adams rehab clinic so hopefully I'll be back for the next game feeling much better."
