So cool Vives sees us through to another final!

Another arduous journey to the depths of Leicester ended in glory as Mark Rivlin's Under 125 team swept past Ashfield to secure a place in the National Club Minor to be held on 12 July.
Dashiell Shaw excelled again on top board with an early win and after Robin Oakley secured a draw we only needed half a point from the two bottom boards. Mark Rivlin contrived to lose a winning position and Pepe Vives looked in potential trouble two pawns down in a complicated endgame. But the cool Senor Vives played a classic game eventually winning and secure our berth in the final where we will be defending our trophy.
