Hackney entered 2 teams in the 48th edition of the Capes Trophy and finished 3rd and 11th. Hackney's first team lead for most of the tournament but let Barnet Elizabethans and Wood Green I went past in the last few games, finishing 3 points behind Barnet. Bob Eames split the board prize for board 1 and Mike Tasker won on board 4.
