Hackney 1 continue to leak match points, the latest occasion being a match draw against Muswell Hill, despite being in a good position on a number of boards.

Still, better half a match point than none! Let's hope we have a better run next year - this year's matches have been beset by most of our main players not being able to attend or withdrawing due to unfortunate circumstances late in the day.

Just a quick note that all away games in the Middlesex Division 1 are listed as starting at 7.30 - this is not the case for most of them!!! We will try to change this very soon but before then, if you see an away game starting at 7.30 in the Middlesex league, it's probably best to check it - either at the Middlesex Chess League webpage (reachable in the links link above) or by contacting the appropriate opposing team captain (the captain contacts should be on the Middlesex web page).
